Who’s up for a Treasure Quest?!
Where?  5 counties – starting in Worcestershire and ending in Herefordshire.
When?  Thursday 14th September.
What?  Remember Anneka Rice and those bright jumpsuits in Treasure Hunt (actually – if you were born after 1990 the answer to that question will be ‘no’!!). Well, this is not a race but you will be against the mileage-clock; participants will get a map and clues which test their ability to get to a waypoint /location and ultimately a key ‘County’ clue. They can pick their route to get there and will be setting off at different times, with the final end point being at the lovely Baskerville Hall Hotel in Hay on Wye. The aim is to get the clues in the least amount of miles. Fancy dress optional (brightly coloured jumpsuit, anyone?!).
Participants can enter a mode of transport for a minimum of £100 sponsorship or set up their own web page and raise more. If you would like to sponsor corporately – getting a mention in the media and your logo on the start and finish point banners, it will cost £250 and you’ll b rubbing shoulders, well, rubbing logos with Chrysal, Parkinsons Bailiffs and Colliers International.
Why?  This event has been organised by Martyn Edwards who, over the past 12 months, has experienced an extremely challenging battle with cancer. Martyn has had a remarkable response to his treatment and will spend the next few years being monitored. During his treatment he lost his hair. Martyn told us: ‘I thought how difficult it would be for a child to do the same, hence how I found out about the great work the Little Princess Trust do for children who lose their hair and wanted to do something for the Charity.’

How?  A selection of classic motorbikes, modern sports cars, classic sports cars and an electric car have signed up so far – if you’d like to join in the fun, please express an interest in the first instance by emailing
